Gov. Abbott's threat to bus migrants to Washington isn't quite what he made it out to be

50% : Some rallied to Abbott's defense, voicing support for the governor's approach to border security under Operation Lone Star, through which he has deployed thousands of state troopers and National Guard soldiers to the border since last March.
41% : "He's done more to secure our southern border than anyone in the [Biden] administration has," Tom Homan, the former acting director for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said on Fox News Wednesday.
25% : Democrat Beto O'Rourke, the former congressman who is challenging Abbott in November, called the busing policy a "stunt" and said the governor had failed to achieve "real progress" on border security and immigration while in office.
