While many schools and even TV programs attempt to educate about what to do when you see bullying, I personally find them one note and ineffective as it paints bullying as one note and easy to spot. Also, even when an incident is reported to an adult, as students are taught, it’s not effective because the school staff will usually try to be as hands off as possible and, many times, bullies will find ways to get around it so they don’t get in trouble. This was behavior I witnessed during my Middle School and High School years and I feel like it’s become essential to implement stronger Bullying Prevention Programs in schools. Read Less

Yes, bullying prevention programs are essential because it has a major negative effect on students. Students need to learn that it is not okay to bully anybody, no matter the circumstance.
