With the growth of technology and a noticeable disassociation with staff and student, mental health has become a prominent topic brought up when discussing the education system. Students, whether college or K-12, will face many challenges during school, such as learning, bullying, and even identity, and the over-stimulation of all this will take a toll on the student’s mental well being. I found courses designed to help me emotionally rather than intellectually extremely helpful because it was a chance to help quell my anxiety, which in turn helped me focus more on my education. So I absolutely believe that it is essential for educational systems to integrate mindfulness and mental health programs into their system. Read Less

But not just mental health programs because if bullies can continue to abuse people, than the programs are useless, we must bring back harsher punishments for students that hurt or bully others.
