It would be difficult, for example, for a 1st world country to try and implement standards of recycling and waste management they have onto a third-world country that may not have the resources to do so. Regardless, each country should have standards to ensure public health and safety, it just shouldn’t be a global standard. Read Less
I totally agree. It is important and maybe a symbolic step, but I would not say it is essential. And as you mentioned, 3rd world countries and developing countries would be at a serious disadvantage.
