If they did it would lead to a slippery slope where anyone could claim something is unethical and leak sensitive information. Read Less

I believe this is a MAYBE situation, mostly due to who the Whistleblower effects, as it is possible for the affected to go around the law and use intimidation to silence them or even dispose of them if the affected are the ones in power. Whistleblowers have very crucial evidence, but also damaging, so there’s a need to protect it. But given the power politicians have in this day and age, it’s likely that Whistleblowers will be in danger. So, in my honest opinion, and in correcting a mistake I made, I believe this is a very complicated issue that may not have a fully correct answer. Read Less

    Definitely; as commenters have mentioned above, the Boeing incidents should be clear evidence that some sort of action in defense of whistleblowers ought to be taken.
