As technology continues to advance, I think we still should be wary about using it without human oversight, especially on public roads where the danger presented by motor vehicle usage is so great. Already, humans are offloading too many of their daily tasks and overall mental load; how much more dangerous would driving become if people didn’t have to pay attention at all? Not to mention the already present obstacles regarding the implementation of autonomous vehicles and the almost certain legislative and regulatory headaches that will accompany them. What’s more, the technology for a fully autonomous vehicle simply is not present and is not likely to become widely available anytime soon.

Even considering the situation as a hypothetical, I think the concept of autonomous vehicles without human oversight is dangerous and immoral. Read Less

Roads are dangerous with humans on it and all the distractions they face, let alone technology which might not be prepared or programmed for every scenario. Read Less
