The discussion ought to be centered around subsidies for private citizens and land lords that provide the necessary infrastructure to allow for rooftop gardens, solar panels, etc. I think that will have a positive impact on not just the environment, but the sense of community a roof garden could have on a apartment complex is massive. I think that it also is healing to the soul. Small activities like tending to a garden have a a peaceful aspect to them that I can’t quite explain but is good for the mind.  Less

The major responsibility I think still resides with the large companies however people are more willing these days to try and help the planet. Incentives can help to get people into areas that need to be built up from deforestation. I do not know if it would be tax breaks or something else but it would help in reforestation efforts.  Less

One issue is ensuring that the incentives are attractive enough to motivate widespread participation while remaining cost-effective for the government. Governments could offer financial incentives such as tax breaks or direct payments to individuals and communities who participate in reforestation efforts. Also, monitoring and mining the reforested areas can be resource-intensive and require a long-term commitment from both the government and citizens involved.  Less
