If we are willing to save our planet we must gradually work on that.
Completely. This should not be a partisan issue as it affects all of us.

Renewable energy is much better for the environment than fossil fuels; we should take action to mitigate the harm done to the environment, because only humans are capable of this. Also, this replacement would not impact people very strongly, because fossil fuels and renewable energy offer the same benefit, which is energy. Read Less

Most …Read MoreI think a transition towards renewable energy sources is a necessary step to protect the environment. However, I don’t think it is possible to completely replace fossil fuels, at least not yet. Most renewable energy sources are reliant on the weather and without costly batteries the energy produced is very difficult to storage and transport.
So a gradual transition is necessary, but keeping fossil fuels for emergencies and backup is a good idea. Read Less

It is important that as a society we try and reduce our carbon emissions. However, I think it is unrealistic at this time to completely stop using fossil fuels. Currently, this form of energy makes our world go round. I believe that it will be a long time before we can reasonably expect our world to stop using fossil fuels altogether. Read Less

Renewable energy is costly upfront, with benefits appearing after a specific time of utilization. If fossil fuels were eradicated suddenly, it would be a significant financial burden for the appropriate renewable energy systems to be created that could support an entire country. There are still some caveats with renewable energy as well, such as weather reliance, that will have to be addressed before a complete switch can be made. Read Less
