Public transportation is not only a better alternative for the environment, but it provides easier access to many essential institutions for the average citizen. A complex (and safe) public transportation system would create a more user-friendly infrastructure plan uncrowded by roads and traffic. It could also significantly reduce cases of drunk-driving and would be a viable alternative for those who cannot afford vehicles. Read Less
