SDNY was too busy probing ­Adams over allegations that he delivered a quid pro quo for $123,000 in travel perks in the form of a temporary waiver of a fire-inspection requirement on a new Turkish consulate near the UN so it could open in time for the Turkish president to visit in September 2021.
