ORGAN DONORS WAKING UP during surgery because Big Pharma is in a MAD RUSH to sell their organs on the black market

Why Troubling News:

The headline of the article is not corroborated by the information in the body of the article. The headline says organ donors are 1) Waking up during surgery, 2) Doing so because of implied carelessness on the part of 'Big Pharma,' and 3) Their organs are being sold to the black market. The body of the article says organ donors are 1) Still showing some signs of life like gasps for breath (but not becoming conscious) after being labelled for surgery to have their organs removed, 2) In this position because of some sloppy confirmation of death procedures, and 3) Being used for the need for organs given to patients in the hospitals--not the black market. The information is in some places blatantly mismatched, and in others is at least misleading. On the whole, the headline is most of all contributing to misinformation since its claims are not held up by the article.

Report: Anti-Israel Photographer Stages Photographs of Hunger in Gaza

Why Troubling News:

This article paints the hunger crisis in Gaza and photographs of it as "staged" using the claim that reporters are ignoring instances where people receive food. This article is misleading and also attempts to downplay the crisis with little to no sources to back its claim up.

A Mayor Mamdani Could Be The Beginning Of The End For NYC, The Dems And Eventually America

Why Troubling News:

This article spreads misinformation by equating socialism with communism and making extreme, unfounded claims, like suggesting Zohran Mamdani’s ideas would “kill” people. It relies on personal attacks and mockery, including racially charged slurs like calling Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas.” It also falsely claims Democrats want things like “free sex changes for illegals,” with no basis in fact. Instead of offering thoughtful criticism, the piece leans on fear-mongering, stereotypes, and opinion dressed up as truth, while dismissing opposing views as the result of a “failing” education system.

George Strait, Taylor Swift get tangled up in Texas flood relief fables

Why Troubling News:

In early July 2025, a viral social media story falsely claimed that country singer George Strait donated $3.5 million and personally rescued victims during the Texas Hill Country floods. The rumor quickly spread, along with AI-generated images of Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez allegedly aiding in flood relief efforts. However, none of the claims were verifiable. Strait’s representatives denied the story, and no credible sources confirmed any involvement by Swift or Gomez. The incident highlights how easily misinformation can spread during crises, especially when boosted by fake visuals and celebrity names.

JFK feared his own family would tell the world he was gay. Kennedy clan cruelty exposed.

Why Troubling News:

This article cites a "best selling Kennedy biographer" as it's source. The author does not appear to be reliable nor have accurate information. The author appears to be promoting outright information to increase book sales and is being uncritically platformed by the daily mail. The sourcing and evidence for his claim appears to be completely nonexistent. The dailymail should know better before deciding to uncritically platform such information as the truth.

A Russian fake news ring was struggling. Then it targeted USAID.

Why Troubling News:

A disinformation network linked to the Kremlin called Operation Overload recently circulated AI-generated videos falsely claiming that USAID was paying Hollywood celebrities to promote Ukrainian President Zelensky. One of these videos was amplified by Elon Musk and reached millions before being debunked. The campaign highlights how cheap, fast, and emotionally manipulative AI-driven misinformation is being weaponized to erode trust in Western institutions.

VLAD’S LIES Macron ‘cocaine’ conspiracy debunked after false claims spread by Russia he ‘hid drugs bag’ while meeting Merz & Starmer

Why Troubling News:

A recent Kremlin-backed conspiracy falsely claimed that French President Emmanuel Macron was hiding a bag of cocaine during a train trip with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The theory circulated on social media after a video showed Macron handling a small white object that was later confirmed to be a tissue, while Merz held a coffee stirrer, not a spoon. The French and German governments, along with Ukraine’s disinformation watchdog, debunked the claim, calling it a politically motivated hoax designed to sow distrust and undermine Western unity.

MAGA Pundits Spread False Sexual Assault Claims Against Tim Walz. Experts Say Russia Is to Blame

Why Troubling News:

A smear campaign falsely accused Democratic vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz of sexually assaulting former male students during his time as a teacher. Wired’s investigation traced the campaign to Storm‑1516, a Russian-aligned propaganda network run by retired U.S. police officer John Dougan, now based in Moscow. The campaign used manipulated emails and a deepfake video, including one featuring former student “Matthew Metro,” who said the video wasn’t him. Right-wing commentators like Candace Owens and Jack Posobiec amplified the claims, though no credible evidence supported them

MI Dems seek to prosecute mask-wearing ICE, after state instituted $500 fine for being maskless during COVID

Why Troubling News:

The article exhibits a clear right-leaning bias through its framing and language. It emphasizes Republican criticism of the Michigan Democrats' proposed bill, using emotionally charged terms like “attack on law enforcement” and quoting officials who accuse Democrats of caring more about criminals than victims. Democratic perspectives are underrepresented and given less space, while rebuttals from ICE and DHS are detailed and framed as authoritative. The article also draws a contrast between the current proposal and past COVID-era mask mandates to imply hypocrisy, without fully exploring the differing legal contexts. For context, fines during COVID were implemented in a public-health push. At the same time, these proposals to remove masking can either be viewed as endangering and doxxing law enforcement, or holding immigration enforcement accountable for potentially illegal or questionable actions.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett calls Trump a ‘piece of s—‘ during liberal rally

Why Troubling News:

This article is problematic on some levels. It does not provide equal representation on the topic. Sure, it gives Crockett's words in detail, but also provides quotes from two Republicans. This unequal representation makes it seem like Representative Crockett is a symbol of ideology in the Democratic Party. It also uses, while accurate, biased language when describing Crockett's words. Her words are described as "obscene" and her insults as "slams". Comparatively, Trump's response to Crockett had no descriptors. The article allows misinformation to spread. The article quotes White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson, who claims that Crockett is "the Democrat[ic] Party's chief spokeswoman." Crockett holds no such position, and was not the only person at the event. (As a side note, the proper term is "Democratic Party," while "Democrat" is a slang term for a member of the party. "Democrat Party" is not a grammatically correct way of referring to the Democratic Party.)
