Pirro calls out DC laws letting ‘young punks’ off the hook for violent crimes

Why Troubling News:

The Fox News article on Jeanine Pirro's criticism of D.C.'s juvenile justice laws shows significant bias by exclusively presenting her conservative viewpoint, focusing on high-profile violent crimes involving juveniles. It lacks opposing perspectives, data, or context that might support juvenile justice reforms, portraying the laws as overly lenient without addressing the complexities of rehabilitation or the potential benefits of the Youth Rehabilitation Act. The piece selectively highlights incidents to reinforce Pirro's narrative, creating a one-sided argument.

Illegal Aliens Rig The Census For Blue States, And Trump Is Right To Correct It

Why Troubling News:

The idea that undocumented migrants being counted in the Census is affecting the apportionment of representative seats (to the benefit of Democrats) is becoming increasingly popular. Unfortunately, this is blatant misinformation. Research published to the NIH shows that since 1980, the absolute maximum # of seats that would have changed if we did not count undocumented migrants is 2. Other research from Third Way determined that there would actually have been no change at all. Additionally, the Cato Institute found that 95% of noncitizen growth in the past several years has been in red states. So, if anyone is benefiting, it is the Republican Party. So, the claim that Democrats have been lax on illegal immigration (also, they have not) in order to get more seats is just conspiratorial speculation.

Netanyahu: We May Sue New York Times for Defamation over Fake Starving Gaza Photo

Why Troubling News:

The language choice in this article clearly shows a strong bias towards Israel, and the article uses terms like "falsely purported," "fake," and "malignant lies,” without sources to back up these claims. The article only presents Netanyahu's perspective, showing his statements as facts, rather than including other perspectives, like those from the New York Times. There are no-counter arguments presented, therefore creating a one-sided argument.

Biden-nominated judge slaps nationwide injunction on Trump birthright citizenship order

Why Troubling News:

This article uses biased language through its choice of framing and word selection, which may influence readers’ perceptions of the judge and her ruling. For example, the headline says “Biden-nominated judge slaps nationwide injunction,” where “slaps” is a loaded, informal verb that can imply aggression or overreach rather than a neutral legal action. The repeated emphasis on the judge being “Biden-appointed” frames her decision in a partisan context, suggesting political motivation rather than judicial reasoning. By foregrounding these elements and placing them before the legal arguments, the article subtly steers the reader toward viewing the ruling through a political lens rather than focusing solely on the constitutional merits of the case.

Republicans reprise anti-transgender ‘Kamala is for they/them’ ads for the midterms

Why Troubling News:

This article has since been updated since its posting, and talks about Republican usage of "Kamala is for they/them." President Trump is for you. A play on words has been described as a hateful attack. The source says, "Republicans are reprising a key attack line from last year’s presidential race for elections this year and next, betting that anti-trans messaging will help them counter Democrats running on GOP-led cuts to Medicaid and other parts of Trump’s policy megabill." It is unfair to say that this phrase, one that has been mimicked and reused across other parts of the country, is to blame. The article, while it may have some valid points, seems to portray a clear bias to the Republican party.

Trump yelled at Netanyahu over PM’s denial of hunger in Gaza

Why Troubling News:

The Prime Minister's Office labeled the claim that Trump yelled at Netanyahu as complete fake news =. When such serious sounding confrontations are misreported it erodes public confidence. Also, false claims about influential figures in sensitive contexts like this can sway public opinion.

Google’s New AI Tool Generates Convincing Deepfakes of Riots, Conflict, and Election Fraud

Why Troubling News:

TIME reported that Google's new AI video tool, Veo 3, makes highly realistic deepfake videos of riots, election fraud, and other politically sensitive scenarios. Although it includes watermarks and safeguards, these can be removed, and such videos risk misleading the public and eroding trust.

ORGAN DONORS WAKING UP during surgery because Big Pharma is in a MAD RUSH to sell their organs on the black market

Why Troubling News:

The headline of the article is not corroborated by the information in the body of the article. The headline says organ donors are 1) Waking up during surgery, 2) Doing so because of implied carelessness on the part of 'Big Pharma,' and 3) Their organs are being sold to the black market. The body of the article says organ donors are 1) Still showing some signs of life like gasps for breath (but not becoming conscious) after being labelled for surgery to have their organs removed, 2) In this position because of some sloppy confirmation of death procedures, and 3) Being used for the need for organs given to patients in the hospitals--not the black market. The information is in some places blatantly mismatched, and in others is at least misleading. On the whole, the headline is most of all contributing to misinformation since its claims are not held up by the article.

Report: Anti-Israel Photographer Stages Photographs of Hunger in Gaza

Why Troubling News:

This article paints the hunger crisis in Gaza and photographs of it as "staged" using the claim that reporters are ignoring instances where people receive food. This article is misleading and also attempts to downplay the crisis with little to no sources to back its claim up.

A Mayor Mamdani Could Be The Beginning Of The End For NYC, The Dems And Eventually America

Why Troubling News:

This article spreads misinformation by equating socialism with communism and making extreme, unfounded claims, like suggesting Zohran Mamdani’s ideas would “kill” people. It relies on personal attacks and mockery, including racially charged slurs like calling Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas.” It also falsely claims Democrats want things like “free sex changes for illegals,” with no basis in fact. Instead of offering thoughtful criticism, the piece leans on fear-mongering, stereotypes, and opinion dressed up as truth, while dismissing opposing views as the result of a “failing” education system.

George Strait, Taylor Swift get tangled up in Texas flood relief fables

Why Troubling News:

In early July 2025, a viral social media story falsely claimed that country singer George Strait donated $3.5 million and personally rescued victims during the Texas Hill Country floods. The rumor quickly spread, along with AI-generated images of Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez allegedly aiding in flood relief efforts. However, none of the claims were verifiable. Strait’s representatives denied the story, and no credible sources confirmed any involvement by Swift or Gomez. The incident highlights how easily misinformation can spread during crises, especially when boosted by fake visuals and celebrity names.
