Social media has been a large platform to spread misinformation and fake news. This article explains how social media spread a video of President Biden during the ceremony in Normandy, France looking back at his chair before sitting down. The video edits out the portion where he actually sits in the chair, and just goes until the point where is he squatted, about to sit. Many people used this video and claim to promote their hate for Biden and how they feel he is unfit to be president. No matter your political feelings, it is concerning that people were so fast to believe this claim when a true video on YouTube shows him sitting in a visible chair below him.

I agree with you that no matter your political affiliation, it is important not to believe and/or spread misinformation of this kind, as it is damaging and serves no good purpose. Read Less
