Why Troubling News:

Starbucks did not sponsor the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee last week. However, they were providing coffee and other beverages to first responders at five of the RNC venues, in order to uphold a partnership with a Milwaukee nonpartisan host committee. The news that they sponsored it is troubling because a sponsorship for an event of this magnitude has serious implications, and such a claim cannot be taken lightly. A multi-billion-dollar franchise like Starbucks may have their reputation put in jeopardy if they became politicized.
